Welcome to the frequently asked questions of the Lizard Log Markets. Our aim is to ensure you are making an informed decision about your journey with us. Please take the time to read our FAQ as it contains information on the safe and effective running of your market stall.
How do I apply for a stall?

If you would like to book a casual stall, please refer to the Casual Stallholder information

If you would like to become a permanent stallholder, please refer to the Permanent Stall Holder information and book here.

 

 

What are the stall setup times?

Casual stall holders who book need to arrive between 6:00am and 7:30am.

Casual stall holders who don’t book and are trying their luck on the day will gain entry from 7:30am.

Please note: Pre-booked casual stallholders are not guaranteed a space in the market if they arrive after 7:30am.

What happens if the Lizard Log markets are cancelled due to bad weather?

We have a wet weather policy in place. Please take the time to read the wet weather policy now and refer to it during inclement weather days for direction.

 

Do you have equipment I can hire for my stall?

Yes, we do. To hire equipment, you need to contact us by 5pm the night before the market you are selling at or try your luck on the day.  You can call us on phone or email us via email.

This can be paid by cash or credit card and is due at the same time as your stall fees.

I am bringing my vehicle to the markets. Is this OK?
Yes! Your stall site covers bringing a vehicle as part of your stall. For the safety of shoppers, all vehicles must remain parked between 7am and midday. Please wait for assistance from Lizard Log staff before attempting to move your vehicle as we need to direct you. You will also need to have your site inspected by a staff member prior to departure to ensure you are refunded your dump deposit
Do we need to clean up after the markets?

You can view the waste management policy here.

Before you depart for the day, it is your responsibility to ensure your site is left in a tidy and rubbish-free manner.

Please remember, we’re a community market making use of a wonderful parklands filled with nature. Looking after it appropriately and doing the right thing means the market can continue to operate now and in the future. It also helps in the reduction of waste in the natural habitat of the parklands.

I have a lot of stuff. Can someone help drop some of it off?
Yes. In addition to allowing you to have your car next to your market stall, you can also bring an additional vehicle into the markets prior to 7am to drop off stock. However, it must depart the market site by 7am. Additional vehicles can be parked in the car park from 7am.

To move stock in and out of the market site during operating times, you are welcome to use a trolley.

Are there items you cannot sell?

The sale of the following items is not permitted:

  • Pirated software, films and music
  • Replica clothing and accessories
  • Live animals (including but not limited to puppies, kittens and other pets)
Who can sell cold drinks, hot coffee and hot food?

Only our approved food vendors are permitted to sell cold drinks, hot coffee, hot food and ready-to-eat food (this does not apply to baked goods).

All hot food/ready-to-eat food and drink vendors must hold a valid Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) Certificate, hold insurance relevant to their operation and have permission from Lizard Log Markets management.

 

What kind of facilities do you have?

In addition to multiple food stalls, bathrooms and hundreds of parking spaces adjacent to the marketplace, we also offer the following services to our stallholders and visitors at our market office:

  • Free cash-out facilities on all major bank and credit cards (except American Express).
  • Change for large bank notes
  • Insurance is not required for casual stallholders
What if I have booked a stall but something has happened?

We understand life sometimes gets in the way of our plans. Please check our cancellation, raincheck and deferral policy.
